Packaging as art - Suzanne Jongmans

Whilst I still have Luddite tendencies I have to confess that one of the great joys of the web are the serendipitous discoveries that may be made when on a meander through its net. Whilst looking for artists working with packaging material I came upon the work of
Suzanne Jongmans. She is a Dutch  Artist and Photographer who has been inspired by 16th and 17th century paintings and has reinterpreted  famous images by clothing her models in packaging material.

Well Happy New Year. Where did January go though?
I am looking forward to meeting all the new Heaton Students and wish last year's leavers best wishes as they begin High School life. Don't forget to come back to show me your art work.
One of my Christmas presents, to myself, was 'Global Model Village' Slinkachu's work set in different cities of the world. Amazing how a change of scale can produce such a change of perspective on everyday activities. Click on the image below to see an interview with the artist.

Then why not have ago yourself.
