Jackson’s New Christchurch
What this drawing means is a symbol
of hope for Christchurch’s future. The fireworks symbolise the colours of the
New Zealand flag, the 4 lights stand for the remembrance of the people who died
in the earthquake and the circles are the people who will come to Christchurch
in the future. The bright light sky is the effect of the lights on the city.
The white stadium is the QEII stadium, and why I put it in is because I have
heard that the builders are going to rebuild it close to the city centre. Why I
made the cathedral look a bit the same is to remember what it used to look like
and for it to have some new parts on it, and because it is an important
landmark for our city.
The reason I drew this is because I
thought it would be a good idea to show the city celebrating its complete
rebuild.
