Priscilla Cowie discusses Kirituna – Resilience, an exhibition of established and emerging Te Waipounamu (South Island) artists.
She will talk about the significance of te taiao (the natural environment) as a source of inspiration for contemporary Māori Art.
Priscilla is an exhibiting artist of Ngāi Tahu, Ngāpuhi, Ngāti Kahu, French & Scottish descent. She is a graduate from the University of Canterbury School of Fine Arts and has extended her art practice by attending international art gatherings with Māori and indigenous artists.
